The robot was built to cut grass, nothing more. But one spring it found a small yellow flower growing through a crack in the path. It stopped, measured the flower, and decided not to cut it. The next day it found two more. By summer the robot had stopped mowing almost everything, and the park was full of color, bees, and children who came to see the machine that had learned to wait.
